eesome (adjective) • pleasing to the eye; attractive

It all started back in 2017, just married, new home owners and avid Pinterest users. Faced with a big dilemma, “ How do we make this house feel like a home?” Time on our side and money not, I began to thrift, make and paint my way to that idea of home. I painted and sold my first collection of artwork in 2019, my idea was to do what I had done for myself but for others. Create accessible pieces of art that a first time home owner could afford, or maybe a young 20 something just renting a cutie house could. I just wanted to make art and I wanted others to be able to enjoy it. Flash forward to now and there has been many iterations of Eesome Co, different price points, confusion, loss of identity, ethos and maybe even passion. But it’s all finally come back to the original idea or common thread, turning a house into a home and doing it in an approachable way. There is a place for it all, high end, budget friendly, diy, maximalism, minimalism. But at the end of the day your house should feel like you, it should be the place that you take pride in, that brings you so much joy. It shouldn’t be perfect and it should take time to curate, it should be ever evolving just like YOU. So welcome to Eesome, stay a while, learn, be inspired, evolve with us. We’re happy you're home.

ADDISON RYAN
OWNER, FOUNDER

Since I can remember I wanted to create art. My art isn’t limited to one discipline or medium, rather I create with whatever is moving me at that moment in time. From painting to sculpting to designing my own lighting and furniture, to cooking a beautiful meal for dear friends all of this is art to me. All of it creates beauty in my world and I in turn hope it creates beauty for others.

Nature is my truest friend, and my Bubbie was my greatest teacher. Watching her create art in all areas of her life inspired me to do the same.

My paintings are often mixed media, oil, charcoal, pencil, watercolor, plasters and other textural mediums. I aim to create movement and texture in my paintings; they are abstract interpretations of the world that surrounds us.

I create to evoke peace and reflection, not to make the viewer feel isolated from the body of work but rather to feel a part of the work, to find solace in the beauty that surrounds us and to embrace the profound that arises from this communion.
